Hey everyone, DennisCW here! Today, I want to dive into some exciting news that's been making waves in the Tesla community. Forbes recently reported that Tesla has slashed Cybertruck prices by up to $8,550 due to struggling demand. If you’ve been following my channel, you know we’ve been talking about this trend for a while now, and it’s fascinating to see it hit mainstream news. Let’s break it down and discuss whether now is the right time to buy a Cybertruck or if you should hold off for better deals.
According to Forbes, Tesla is offering significant discounts on the Cybertruck, specifically on the all-wheel-drive model, which is seeing reductions of up to $8,550. However, there’s a bit of a catch. These discounted units are primarily 2024 models, which are not eligible for the $7,500 tax credit unless you opt for a lease with a buyout option. And here’s the kicker: not all areas or deals qualify for this lease structure, so you might need to finance through a credit union or have outside means to make this work.
Still, it’s an interesting development. I was speaking with someone earlier today about the Cybertruck, and they wanted my take on whether now is the time to pull the trigger. My advice? Unless you can snag that unicorn deal—an $8,000-off all-wheel-drive model with a lease buyout option—it might be worth waiting.
Here’s where things get even more intriguing. On my channel, we’ve been tracking Tesla’s inventory levels, and right now, the Cybertruck holds the highest inventory count among all Tesla models. That’s right—there are plenty of 2024s, 2025s, and even Foundation Series Cybertrucks sitting in stock. When inventory is this high, Tesla often gets creative with incentives and deals to clear out units. This means more discounts and promotions are likely on the horizon.
Looking ahead, if we project into the next six months, Tesla will not only have 2024 and 2025 models in stock with big discounts, but we might also see 2026 Cybertrucks rolling out as early as late December. With this kind of oversupply, the deals could get even sweeter. So, if you don’t urgently need a truck, my recommendation to friends—and to you—is to hold off until November or December. Patience might just pay off with an even better offer.
If you do need a truck right now, there are certainly deals to be had. The current discounts are tempting, especially if you can navigate the lease buyout loophole or secure alternative financing. But for those who can afford to wait, I’d advise keeping an eye on how Tesla handles this inventory surplus in the coming months. The Cybertruck market is in an interesting spot, and I’m curious to see how Tesla will incentivize buyers further.
What do you think? Are you in the market for a Cybertruck, or are you waiting for deeper discounts? Drop your thoughts in the comments—I’d love to hear where you stand on this!
One thing’s for sure: if you’re buying a new Tesla—Cybertruck or otherwise—it won’t come with all-weather floor mats. If you’re looking for the best set out there, I highly recommend 3W Liners. I’ve tested countless options, from 3D Maxpider to Tesmanian and various Amazon brands, and 3W Liners are by far my favorite. I’ve got them in my Model X, Model 3, Model Y, and Cybertruck, and they’re fantastic for protecting your investment.
Even better, if you use my promo code (linked in the description of my video), you can save 25% off and get a set for under $100. Plus, you’ll be supporting the channel, which I truly appreciate. Check out 3W Liners via the link below my videos and let me know what you think!
The Tesla Cybertruck price cuts are a clear sign that Tesla is feeling the pressure of high inventory and softer demand. While there are some attractive deals right now, I believe the best incentives are yet to come. If you’re on the fence, consider waiting a few more months to see how things play out. And if you do decide to buy, make sure to protect your ride with a solid set of floor mats like 3W Liners.
Thanks for reading, and don’t forget to share your thoughts on the Cybertruck situation. Are you buying now, or are you holding out for bigger discounts? Let’s keep the conversation going!
