Hey everyone, DennisCW here! If you’ve been keeping up with the latest Tesla news, you’ve probably noticed the buzz around a massive spike in Tesla demand recently. I’m diving into some fascinating data and breaking down the reasons behind this surge. Plus, I’ll share my top Tesla accessory recommendations for new buyers. Let’s get into it!
Recent US credit card data shared by Gary Black reveals a staggering 250% spike in observed Tesla sales over the past week. That’s huge! But what’s fueling this sudden rush to buy Tesla vehicles? While some speculate it could be tied to pre-Austin autonomous driving publicity or the upcoming June ride-hailing tests, I’m not convinced the average buyer is tuned into the robo-taxi hype. Here are my thoughts on what’s really driving this demand:
One major factor could be the recent news about a bill passing through the House committee and the House of Representatives. There’s growing concern that the $7,500 EV tax credit might disappear by the end of the year. Naturally, if you’re eyeing a Model 3, Model Y, or any other Tesla, locking in that credit now makes a lot of sense. (By the way, don’t forget to use a Tesla referral code like the one I’ve linked in the description below to snag three months of Full Self-Driving with your purchase!)
Tesla recently announced a deadline of June 16th for their 1.99% APR financing offer on the Model Y. With less than a month left, many buyers are jumping on this deal. While it’s not quite 0%, it’s close enough to feel like a steal. I don’t expect Tesla to roll out a 0% offer immediately after this ends—my guess is they might wait until August. But who knows? If you’re considering a Model Y, now might be the time to act before this offer expires.
It’s no secret that car brands, including Tesla, often see a spike in demand at the end of each month due to natural sales cycles and dealership pushes. This could be contributing to the current surge we’re seeing in the data.
Lastly, could it be that Elon Musk’s recent public statements about distancing himself from certain controversies (like Dogecoin or government ties) are easing concerns for potential buyers? Some people might have hesitated to buy a Tesla due to fears of vandalism or social backlash. With the narrative shifting, alongside these incredible deals, the stars might be aligning for a broader demographic to feel comfortable jumping into Tesla ownership.

Whether you’ve just bought a Tesla or are about to pull the trigger, the next exciting step is decking it out with accessories. There are so many options out there—maybe even too many! To make it easy, I’ve narrowed it down to my top three must-have Tesla accessories. I’ve also included links and discount codes in the description below, as well as on page two of our Best Deal Spreadsheet.
If there’s one accessory you absolutely need, it’s a good set of all-weather floor mats. They protect your Tesla’s interior from dirt, spills, and wear, especially if you live in an area with harsh weather. I’ve broken down my recommendations into three tiers:
A reliable phone mount is essential for easy navigation and hands-free use while driving. Check out the Jowua phone mount I use on all our Teslas—linked below with a discount code.
Tesla doesn’t come with a built-in center console organizer, which can make storage a bit chaotic. I highly recommend the Jowua center console organizer (also linked below). It’s a game-changer for keeping your essentials tidy and accessible.
A huge thank you to everyone who uses our links and codes to support the channel—it means the world to me! If you’ve got other accessory recommendations or questions about outfitting your Tesla, let me know in the comments.
With Tesla demand spiking and factors like the potential loss of the EV tax credit, limited-time financing deals, and shifting public perceptions, it’s no surprise more people are jumping on board. If you’ve been on the fence, this might be the perfect time to make your move. And once you’ve got your Tesla, don’t forget to accessorize with the essentials to enhance your ownership experience.
Have you recently bought a Tesla, or are you planning to? What’s influencing your decision? Let’s chat in the comments below. Don’t forget to check out the links and discount codes for accessories and referral benefits in the description. Thanks for reading, and I’ll catch you in the next post!
