Hey everyone, Dennis here from DennisCW! If you're into Tesla deal hacking like I am, you're in for a treat. In this blog post, based on my latest video, we'll dive into an exciting loophole for getting a $4,000 EV credit on used Teslas—no income limits or price caps required. Plus, I'll cover other hot topics like new Model Y pricing, efficiency updates, killer EV deals from other brands, and more. Let's get into it!
Before we jump in, if you're looking to save thousands on your Tesla purchase, check out my step-by-step guide in the description below. Use promo code YouTube for 40% off for the first 50 buyers. Also, enter my giveaway for a chance to win one of three Tesla robots—link in the description!

Tesla has rolled out some massive incentives on used vehicle leases: $3,500 for a 12-month lease and $4,500 for a 24-month lease. Normally, the $4,000 used EV tax credit has strict rules—you need to earn under $75K (single) or $150K (married), buy from a dealership, and the vehicle must be under $25,000.
But here's the hack: Anyone can lease a used Tesla, regardless of income, and the vehicle can exceed $25,000. Lease it, then buy it out immediately. You'll face some fees (like $695 acquisition and $350 disposition), losing about $1,000, but netting $3,500–$4,500 is way better than nothing!
This is available in states like California, Florida, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, and Texas, and it's expanding. We've got confirmation from viewers like Roel who successfully did a lease buyout. For example, a Model Y priced at $28,500 qualifies—above the usual cap. If you don't qualify for the standard credit, this is a game-changer.
Pro tip: If buying new, use my Tesla referral code (link below) for three months of Full Self-Driving (FSD). It supports the channel too!
If you're eyeing a new Model 3 or Y, deliveries are showing September timelines—act fast to snag the $7,500 federal tax credit. Check new inventory for deals, but be flexible on colors and specs. For those over income limits, remember the new lease loophole: Lease to get the $7,500, then buy out (losing ~$1,000 but still ahead).
In Australia and New Zealand, the Model Y Performance is priced around $58K–$59K USD equivalent, with deliveries starting December 2024. I predict a U.S. launch soon at $57K–$59K. Will it qualify for the $7,500 credit? Fingers crossed!
Don't forget to maximize your trade-in value. A viewer got $3,000 more than Tesla's offer via givemethevin.com—link below.

The new Model Y Long Range (with third-row seating) is shockingly more efficient than the Model 3 AWD, clocking in at 14 kWh/100km on highways in China tests. That's impressive for a larger vehicle—can't wait for U.S. reviews!
The EV rush is on! Check this: A $76K BMW i5 M Sport leases for $679/month (taxes included) in LA—way better than a Model S at $1,500–$1,800/month. Or a $115K BMW i7 for $1,095/month with $3K down. Contact Rigo at LL Motors (Instagram link below) and mention the "Dennis deal."
BMW's new electric concept has wild stats: 108.7 kWh battery, 400 kW charging, 400-mile range. The design? Polarizing, but the tech is top-tier.
Audi and Porsche now have Supercharger access—expect to see them at stations. Plus, businesses can now buy fully managed Tesla Superchargers for revenue sharing. Interested in free commercial installs? DM Charge Lane on Instagram and mention the Dennis deal.
