Hey everyone, DennisCW here! First off, I want to apologize for the technical hiccups we faced recently. Updating my MacOS turned out to be a disaster with Wavelink and Elgato, essentially bricking my setup. But let’s move past that and dive into some exciting news from Tesla! In celebration of Independence Day, Tesla has rolled out a free paint incentive for a limited time, and I’m here to break it down for you. Happy 4th of July, and thank you all for your patience and support!
Tesla is offering free paint upgrades on select colors for the Model 3, Model Y, Model S, and Model X. This promotion runs until July 14th, so you’ve got just 10 days to act if you’re interested. Here are the colors included in this incentive:
Unfortunately, newer colors like Frost Blue Metallic aren’t eligible for this offer, as it applies only to older vehicle models. If you’ve been eyeing a Tesla with a premium paint job and are paying cash (not financing or leasing), this could be a great opportunity to save some serious cash.
I’ll be honest—I didn’t jump on this news right away because it’s not groundbreaking. If you’ve been following my channel, you know Tesla offered option credits last month, providing up to $2,000 in discounts or incentives. However, I decided to highlight this for a couple of reasons. First, it’s a nice gesture from Tesla to celebrate the 4th of July. Second, it gives us some clues about what might be coming next in terms of promotions.
With the promotion ending on July 14th (a Monday), and Tesla’s earnings call scheduled for July 23rd (the following Wednesday), we might see a new incentive or deal rolled out shortly after. Tesla often times these promotions strategically, so keep an eye out if you’re not ready to buy just yet.
Here’s where it gets even better. This free paint offer can be combined with the America’s Hero Incentive, which provides an additional $1,000 off for eligible buyers. Tesla is also proud to highlight its status as the manufacturer of the most American-made vehicles, with every Tesla sold in the US being designed, engineered, and built right here. It’s a fitting way to celebrate the 4th of July, honoring veterans and showcasing American innovation.
Additionally, don’t forget to use a Tesla referral code (like the one in the description of my video) to get 3 months of Full Self-Driving added to your purchase. Every little bit helps!
There’s also buzz around the $7,500 federal tax credit for EVs, which might be ending soon. I came across an interesting post by Chris mentioning how Rivian previously offered a binding order contract to lock in the credit before it expired. Could Tesla do something similar? I’m not sure, but if any company can figure out a workaround, it’s Tesla. Fingers crossed!
In other cool Tesla news, the company is starting to use Cybertrucks for mobile service. Imagine booking a service appointment and having a Cybertruck roll up to fix your vehicle. How awesome is that? Let me know in the comments if you’ve seen one in action or if you’re hoping to spot one soon!
If you’re planning to finance your Tesla, there’s one critical step you need to take before applying: protect your credit. Recently, Bank of America had a data breach and didn’t notify customers for a full month. On average, companies take 277 days—over 9 months—to report breaches, leaving your personal info like your Social Security number, phone number, and email vulnerable.
That’s why I use Aura, today’s sponsor. Aura constantly scans the dark web for any trace of my personal data and alerts me if something shows up. It also helps reduce spam calls, removes my info from sketchy data broker sites, and offers up to $5 million in identity theft insurance—all in one easy-to-use app. You can try Aura free for 14 days at aura.com/denniscw (link in the video description). Don’t wait until it’s too late to protect your data—it’s like turning on Sentry Mode after your car’s been keyed. I’m using Aura, and you should too.
Tesla’s free paint incentive is a solid offer, especially for cash buyers looking to snag a premium color like Ultra Red without the $2,000 price tag. Combined with the America’s Hero discount and the potential to stack other perks, it’s worth considering if you’re in the market for a Tesla right now. But with only 10 days until July 14th, you’ll need to act fast.
What do you think about this promotion? Are you planning to take advantage of it, or are you holding out for a potential post-earnings call deal? Drop your thoughts in the comments below, and don’t forget to like and subscribe for more Tesla updates. Thanks for sticking with me through the tech struggles, and I’ll catch you in the next one!
Happy 4th of July, everyone! 🇺🇸
