Hey everyone, Dennis here from DennisCW! If you're into Tesla deal hacking like I am, buckle up because we've got some big updates from the world of Tesla. In my latest video, I dove into the news that a Tesla exec is signaling the end of those juicy end-of-quarter discounts. With the $7,500 federal tax credit wrapping up soon, incentives are being dialed back. I'll break it all down, share tips on snagging the best deals, and cover other hot topics like used Tesla prices, demand spikes, and more. Let's get into it!
Tesla's CTO, Raj, dropped a bombshell: "Order now to avoid end-of-quarter delivery delays and get the vehicle your family loves on time. Configurator updates soon. Custom orders may take 1-2 weeks longer in many locations. No end-of-quarter discount." That's right—no more last-minute fire sales. They're sticking to their guns and already pulling back on some incentives.
For example, the Model Y option credit discount (free upgrades like paint or interior colors) is ending tomorrow, August 11th. In my area, many qualifying inventory vehicles have vanished. Quick tip: Switch your Tesla search to "all deliverable" by zip code to spot hidden gems, like a Model Y with a $1,000 discount and free paint/interior.
If you're eyeing a Tesla in the next 45 days, now's the time. The next big push will be December's end-of-year madness. Remember, the $7,500 tax credit is point-of-sale for qualifying incomes (under $150K single, $300K married). Pair that with low financing: Model Y at 3.49% for 60 months, Model 3 at 0% with FSD or 2.49% without.
Pro Tip: Use my Tesla referral code in the description for 3 months of free Full Self-Driving (FSD). It supports the channel, especially if you're already buying FSD. Place a $250 non-refundable deposit to lock in deals!
Shoutout to Zach, the Tesla Diner king—he's been there 20-30 times! New menu items include vanilla overnight oats with goji berries, dates, golden raisins, and pepitas. Sounds tasty; I'll report back after trying it.
Just bought a Tesla? Protect it! In the OC area, hit up Andre at 24K Shine for mobile ceramic coating, tint, and PPF. Mention the "Dennis deal" for a hookup—they even have a loaner program. DIY fans, check Tesbros for PPF kits (link below with discount).
Data from CarGurus shows used car prices up 1.22% year-over-year, but Tesla's dipped nearly 5%. The average used Tesla is now cheaper than the average used car overall. Why? The $4,000 used EV tax credit is ending, flooding the market. Cybertruck prices are down 30% YoY—wild!
If you're buying used, this is prime time. Sellers, act fast before values drop more.
Tesla's bumping delivery estimates for new Model 3 and Y orders to 4-6 weeks in many US areas. With the tax credit deadline looming (September 30th), FOMO is real. Rear-wheel-drive models seem hottest—no inventory discounts left, longest ranges, lowest leases.
Inventory for all-wheel-drive is plentiful, but if you want a custom rear-wheel-drive, drop that $250 deposit now. Could this be Tesla tweaking production to push higher-margin models? Let me know in the comments!
Post-tax credit, expect Tesla to slash prices by at least $2,500 on Model 3 and Y to soften the blow. They might bundle free supercharging, FSD trials, or charger installs. Q4 is always insane for hitting yearly targets, but recent earnings focused more on AI and Optimus than volume. Model Y Performance delays? Likely to avoid confusing buyers, not tax issues (SUVs qualify up to $80K).
FSD sightings in nine new markets: Amsterdam, Paris, Rome, Berlin, Madrid, London, Melbourne, Sydney, and Auckland. Exciting for international fans—adapting to crowded spots like Rome will be a test!
New Tesla? It comes with zero accessories. My top picks:
Protect your data with Aura (14-day free trial at aura.com/denniscw). Finance tip: Don't trade into Tesla—use methev.com for max value on your old car (plus $25K giveaway).
Thanks to U-Haul, Aon, Resh, Nash, Art, and everyone tuning in! Congrats on your Model Y orders—quick turnarounds are happening. On FSD strikes: I've got 3/5 on our Model X loaner—yikes!
Thinking of leasing? Prices just rose $50, so not a "deal," but stable until Q4. For tint/PPF in SoCal: Unplugged Performance, OC Tint Solutions, or 24K Shine (all with Dennis deals, links below).
