Hey everyone, DennisCW here! If you're as excited as I am about the Tesla Model Y Performance, you're in for a treat. Deliveries are right around the corner, with the tightest estimated window yet: November 27 through December 2. This is for a Bay Area delivery of a Stealth Grey with white interior—super fresh and different from the usual Quicksilver/white or black, or Ultra Red/black combos we've seen.
Tesla showrooms are lighting up with these beasts too. Shoutout to Torque and Tech for the Cherry Hill, New Jersey spotting, and Sango for Bellevue Square in Washington. It seems every showroom is getting their allocation—check your local one!
Missed the buzz? The top three YouTube reviews are out from Everyday Chris, Jeeps, and Out of Spec—all Tesla-invited hands-on looks. They've covered acceleration, handling, and more. Deliveries could kick off next week, so these are must-watches.
We've even peeked inside showroom units (shoutout to the community for opening them up). Early math on battery capacity points to around 83.2 kWh usable—potentially more than the Long Range model. Exciting for range and efficiency chasers!
These reviews highlighted some neat extras: the mobile connector now comes with an adapter for standard AC plugs. Everyday Chris even tested it with a hair dryer! Perfect for camping or emergencies (rumor has it Tesla's eyeing home backup power too).
Here's a quick clip vibe: [Imagine embedded video of the demo].
Watched the reviews? One thing bugged me—the mixed matte and gloss black finishes. Front bumper lower areas and rear diffuser are gloss, but wheels, side trim, and mirrors mix in matte. It's funky (probably intentional), but not my fave.
Solution? DIY PPF kits are coming! Tesbros and DIY Rap Club are scanning the front bumper for matte kits. If you're speccing Diamond Black (or any), going full matte could be the move. Save thousands by DIY-ing—links in the description below.
Spotted in Chris's review: 3W all-weather floor mats fitting the Model Y Performance. Use promo code ADENNIS35 for a deal—they're the best for protection. I need to test fitment on ours (might need tweaks), but it looks promising!
Showroom cars ship with older FSD like v13.2.9 or v14—no updates yet (tried in one today). It'll get the latest on delivery, no worries.
