So, that supposed Model Y Performance concept photo I shared with you all turned out to be... well, not real. We had a hunch it might be a Photoshop job, and we were right on the money. The image making the rounds was indeed a doctored version of a standard Model Y All-Wheel Drive. Here’s the original photo for comparison—definitely not a Performance variant.

As much as we’re all itching for Tesla to roll out the Model Y Performance, this leak was nothing more than a creative edit. But hey, that doesn’t mean we can’t dream, right?

A Concept Worth Talking About

While the leaked image was fake, it did spark some inspiration. My friend Dominic took the idea and ran with it, creating a stunning concept of what a Model Y Performance could look like.
