Hey everyone, DennisCW here! If you're a Tesla enthusiast like me, you've probably been buzzing about the latest updates coming to Full Self-Driving (FSD). In one of my recent videos, I dove into Tesla's upcoming "Banish" feature, and I wanted to break it down in more detail here on the blog. Elon Musk has shared some exciting insights, and it could change how we handle everyday errands—especially on those rainy days. Let's get into it!
Elon Musk recently posted about this game-changing feature: "In the near future, your Tesla will drop you off at the store entrance and then go find a parking spot. When you're ready to exit the store, just tap summon on your phone and the vehicle will come to you."
Essentially, Banish Mode is the reverse of the existing Summon feature. Instead of calling your car to you from a parking spot, you'll be able to "banish" it to go park itself after dropping you off. Imagine pulling up to the grocery store, hopping out right at the door, and letting your Tesla handle the parking hassle on its own. No more circling lots or dealing with tight spaces—your car does the work!
This ties into upcoming FSD updates, and it's a step toward making autonomous driving even more practical for real-world scenarios.
I've got to admit, I haven't used Summon all that often. It's fun for showing off at parties, but I've seen enough online posts about close calls—hitting curbs or cutting off other cars—that make me a bit anxious. That said, Banish Mode could be a total winner in bad weather. Picture a heavy rainstorm: you get dropped off dry and cozy, send the car off to park, and summon it back when you're done. No wet walks across the lot!
Version 14 of FSD is getting rave reviews from early testers, and I'm pumped to see it roll out to more vehicles, including mine. It's features like this that keep pushing Tesla ahead in the EV game.
What do you think? Would you use Banish Mode regularly, or are you still wary like me? Drop your thoughts in the comments below—I'd love to hear from you!
One thing's for sure: if you're picking up a new Tesla, it won't come with all-weather floor mats. Trust me, I've tested them all—3D Maxpider, Tesmanian, and plenty of Amazon options. My absolute favorite? The 3W Liners. They're durable, fit perfectly, and keep your interior spotless.
I've got them in my Model X, Model 3, Model Y, and even the Cybertruck. If you're in the market, use my promo code in the description below to snag 25% off—bringing a full set under $100. Plus, it supports the channel! Check out 3W Liners here and protect your ride today.
Tesla's Banish Mode is just another example of how FSD is evolving to make life easier. Stay tuned for more updates, and if you haven't already, subscribe to my YouTube channel for the latest Tesla news and reviews. What features are you most excited about? Let me know!
