Hey everyone, DennisCW here! Welcome back to another deep dive into all things Tesla and EV deal hacking. If you're new here, I love breaking down the best ways to save on your Tesla purchases, from financing tips to spotting the latest deals. Don't forget to subscribe to my YouTube channel and join our free email newsletter (link in the description below) for exclusive updates. Today's post is based on my recent live stream, where we covered Tesla's latest announcement on deductible interest loans, some exciting Tesla sightings, and a bunch more. Plus, we're in the middle of our Christmas in July giveaways—stick around for details!

Tesla dropped a bombshell on their X account: "Attention Americans, up to $10,000 in interest on your auto loan is now deductible. You can stack this with your $7,500 federal tax credit." They even threw in a quote about saving on gas and maintenance. Sounds amazing, right? Well, hold up—it's not as sweet as it seems.
Thanks to recent legislation, interest on auto loans for U.S.-assembled vehicles (like most Teslas) can now be deducted, up to $10,000. This applies to models like the Model 3, Model Y, S, X, and even the Cybertruck (which has 0% financing if you add Full Self-Driving). But here's the catch: Tesla's current financing rate is around 5.54%, and there are income limits (under $150,000 for singles).
The deduction isn't a 1:1 savings—it's based on your tax bracket. Let's do the math: For a $50,000 Model Y loan at 5% over 60 months, you'd pay about $6,614 in interest. At a 22% marginal tax rate (say, $100K income), you'd save roughly $1,389 in taxes. Net result? You're still out $5,225 after the deduction. Ouch.
I even fact-checked this with Grok, and it confirmed the numbers. Sure, it's better than nothing, but paying interest to get a partial deduction isn't a win. I'd much rather see 0% or 1.99% financing return—especially with the $7,500 tax credit ending soon. If Tesla pushes this as their big incentive, sales could suffer. What do you think? Drop your thoughts in the comments!
In more exciting news, a camouflaged Model Y (likely the Performance version) was spotted in the US—probably California. It could also be the rumored six-seater with a third row for easier access (perfect for families with car seats). Imagine a seating config that makes sense for real life—I'm intrigued. Would you pick this over a Model X?
Speaking of cool concepts, check out this Tesla Terra Van idea: Starting at $69,420 with 1,000-mile range? A stretch, but it'd be epic, especially if it's Cybertruck-inspired.
On the Tesla Diner front, progress is slow, but we got a peek at the menu: burgers, fries, chicken wings, hot dogs, and milkshakes. It's listed as 24/7—fingers crossed Optimus robots serve us!
