Hey everyone, DennisCW here! If you've been following my YouTube channel, you know I'm all about keeping you updated on the latest Tesla news, deals, and tips. In my recent video, I broke down some big announcements from Tesla executives, including the end of those juicy end-of-quarter discounts. Today, I'm turning that transcript into a detailed blog post to help you navigate these changes. Whether you're eyeing a new Model Y or Model 3, or just curious about Tesla's latest moves, I've got you covered. Let's dive in!
A high-level Tesla exec (I'm thinking it's the CTO) has made it clear: the era of massive end-of-quarter discounts is winding down. As we approach the expiration of the $7,500 federal tax credit, Tesla is starting to pull back on incentives. This means if you've been waiting for the perfect deal, now might be the time to act.
Raj from Tesla put it bluntly: "Order now to avoid end-of-quarter delivery delays and get the vehicle your family loves on time. Configurator updates soon. Custom orders may take one to two weeks longer in many locations. No end-of-quarter discount."
They're sticking to their guns—no more fire sales at the end of the quarter. Incentives are already being dialed back, and some have vanished overnight. If you're worried about missing out on the tax credit or facing delays, consider placing your order soon. Remember, the deposit on Tesla's website is non-refundable, so be sure before you commit.
Pro tip: Use a Tesla referral code (like mine in the description of my videos) to snag three months of Full Self-Driving for free. If you're already getting FSD, it supports the channel—thanks in advance!
Let's break down the current incentives and steps to score the best deals:
Check Inventory Vehicles: Head to Tesla's website, input your zip code, and switch to "All Deliverable" to see available cars nationwide. This is key for spotting hidden gems.
Model Y Option Credit Discount: This was a hot one—get a free upgrade like paint or interior color on eligible inventory. It offered $1,000–$2,000 in savings, but it's ending soon (August 11th in many areas). In my area, these deals disappeared fast, so act quickly!
Model 3 Inventory: You might have a bit more time here, but don't sleep on it.
Financing Perks: Model Y financing as low as 3.49% for 60 months. For Model 3, snag 0% if you buy or transfer Full Self-Driving; otherwise, it's 2.49%.
Christopher Dungeon (shoutout!) predicts a major rush in Q3, and those waiting until the last minute could miss the $7,500 tax credit. Qualifying is straightforward: under $150K for singles or $300K for married couples, and it's deducted at the point of sale—no complications.
If you're buying in the next 45 days, this is your final warning. The next big push will be in December, but why risk it?
Even with official discounts fading, I'm hearing from viewers and seeing posts about Tesla advisors offering "back-pocket" deals. Think waived fees for ultra red paint, white interiors, or 20-inch wheels on stacked builds. If you're at a Tesla store, it never hurts to ask—politely, of course!

Switching gears, exciting news from the Tesla Diner! Shoutout to my friend Zach, who's basically the king of the Tesla Diner (I've got to make a post crowning him). New items include vanilla overnight oats topped with goji berries, dates, golden raisins, and pepitas. No pics yet, but if it's like their Greek yogurt (which was a tad watery), I'll reserve judgment until I try it. If you're road-tripping to a Supercharger, this could be a fun stop!
Once you've got your Tesla, protection is key. If you're in the OC area, hit up my friend Andre at 24K Shine. He's mobile, offers ceramic coating, tint, and PPF (paint protection film). Plus, he has a loaner program for bigger jobs. Mention the "Dennis deal" for a hookup—find him on Instagram or Yelp.
DIY fan? Check out Tesbros for their PPF kits in various packages, from front-only to full coverage or even colored options. Use my link for savings!
Did you know new Teslas come with zero accessories? Not even a phone mount! Here are my essentials:
All these and more from my partner, Joa. I use their stuff daily—wireless game controllers, portable air compressors, even electric scooters for charger walks. Use my promo code for discounts and free shipping over $120. Links in my video descriptions!
This is a pivotal time for Tesla buyers. With discounts ending and the tax credit on the chopping block, don't wait if you're serious. Let me know in the comments: Are you pulling the trigger now, or holding out? Have you scored any advisor deals?
