Hey everyone, DennisCW here! If you've been following my YouTube channel, you know I'm all about diving into the latest in Tesla tech, EVs, and those hidden gems that make owning a Tesla even more epic. In my latest video, I took a nighttime tour of the Tesla Diner – that iconic spot that's part supercharger station, part retro diner, and all futuristic fun. If you haven't seen the video yet, this blog post breaks it down with all the highlights. Let's jump in!
One of the coolest features kicks in before you even pull up. Punch the Tesla Diner into your GPS, and not only does it show you how many of the massive 80 supercharger stalls are in use, but you can also order food right from your car. It's ready when you arrive – talk about convenience!
There are three pickup options:
The menu is super extensive – think Tesla burgers, hot dogs, and a bunch of other tasty options. It's like a drive-in diner met the future.
Everyone's seen daytime shots of the Tesla Diner, but at night? It's a whole different vibe. The backside is lined with tons of superchargers – 80 in total, scattered all around. As you approach, the rooftop lights up with that signature red Tesla logo, and the whole place looks like a UFO spaceship has landed.
We did a full walk-around:
It's not just functional; it's visually stunning under the night sky.
Step inside through one of the two entrances, and you're greeted by a vibrant space that feels just as alive at night as during the day. There's a full menu display, merchandise for sale, and a bar area that's great for hanging out.
Pro tip: Order from your vehicle via the app, then head straight to the pickup window inside. Skip the lines and waiting in your car – it's a total hack for efficiency.
The interior has that classic diner charm with a Tesla twist. It's clean, modern, and buzzing with energy.
Head up the stairs to the rooftop, and it's like entering another world. You get panoramic views of all the Tesla chargers and vehicles below. Speakers hidden in the plants let you hear the movies playing on those giant screens – ideal for chilling with your food.
But the real surprise? On one side, there's a section made from the same metal as the Cybertruck. And right there, serving popcorn, is the Optimus robot! It's a fun, futuristic touch that ties everything together. Oh, and don't forget the bathrooms up here too – convenient for longer stays.
The Tesla Diner isn't just a charging stop; it's an experience, especially after dark. From pre-ordering meals to watching movies under the stars, surrounded by superchargers and that unmistakable Tesla innovation, it's a must-visit for any EV enthusiast.
