Hey everyone, DennisCW here! If you're a Tesla owner like me, you know that supercharging stops are a part of the EV lifestyle. Whether you're driving a Cybertruck or a Model Y, those waits can be a drag—unless you turn them into productive or relaxing moments. That's where the Joa tabletop comes in, an accessory that genuinely surprised me with its usefulness. In this post, I'll break down why it's a game-changer for working or eating on the go, based on my recent video demo.
As someone who frequents superchargers, I've tried my share of Tesla accessories, but this one caught me off guard. It's designed to create a stable, flat surface right in your car's front seat, perfect for turning downtime into uptime. Whether you're grabbing a quick meal or knocking out some work, it fits seamlessly into Tesla models like the Model 3, Model Y, and even the Cybertruck.
The best part? It's incredibly portable. When not in use, it folds up neatly with a sturdy hinge, and I just stash it under the back seat. No bulky storage issues here—it's compact and ready to deploy whenever you need it.
Setting it up is a breeze. The tabletop features rubber padding on both sides for a secure grip. You simply unfold it and place it across the driver's side: one end rests on the door panel, and the other on the center console's rubber area. Boom— you've got a flat, stable surface that's been tested to fit multiple Tesla models.
In my video, I showed how it looks in action. It's spacious enough for fast food, a salad, or whatever you're munching on. But where it really shines is as a mobile workstation. I plopped my laptop on it, and it was perfect for cranking out tasks while waiting for a charge. I've even attempted a full live stream setup on it (though the internet connection let me down that time). The point is, it's secure, roomy, and turns your car into a temporary office or dining spot.
Of course, I don't recommend lingering at superchargers forever—efficiency is key in the EV world. But if you've got emails to answer or a bite to eat, this accessory makes those moments way more enjoyable.
If you're always on the road and need to make the most of your supercharging time, the Joa tabletop is worth checking out. It's practical, well-designed, and has become a staple in my Tesla kit.
