Hey everyone, DennisCW here with some urgent news for Tesla enthusiasts and potential buyers. If you've been eyeing the Tesla Model Y with that incredibly low 1.99% financing rate, time is running out. In this post, we'll dive into when this offer is ending, why Tesla is making this move, and what the future might hold for Model Y incentives. Plus, I'll share some other exciting Tesla promotions and must-have accessories for your new ride. Let's get into it!
Tesla recently updated their website to announce that the 1.99% financing offer on the Tesla Model Y All-Wheel Drive (AWD) will officially end on June 16, 2025. This gives you just about three weeks to lock in this amazing rate, which extends up to a 72-month term. Note that this offer applies only to the AWD Model Y, not the rear-wheel drive variant.
If you're considering taking advantage of this deal, act fast! And while you're at it, don't forget to use a Tesla referral code (like the one linked below) to snag three months of Full Self-Driving (FSD) for free with your purchase.
Here are the key details of the 1.99% financing offer:
Shoutout to one of our community members, who shared their experience of putting down $5,000 out of pocket and getting approved for this low rate. If you qualify for the tax credit, you can use that amount toward the down payment, making the deal even sweeter.
Tesla often uses time-sensitive promotions to drive sales and push deliveries, especially toward the end of a quarter. With the second quarter wrapping up on June 30th, just two weeks after this financing offer ends, it’s clear Tesla is incentivizing buyers to place orders and take delivery ASAP. A quick look at their inventory shows a significant number of Model Y vehicles in stock, and they’re eager to move these units.
Interestingly, while the Model Y's 1.99% financing has a clear end date, the 0% financing offer on the Tesla Model 3 does not. This suggests Tesla might be focusing on clearing Model Y inventory while keeping the Model 3 promotion open for a bit longer.
Once the 1.99% financing offer expires, I anticipate Tesla might roll out other incentives to keep sales momentum. We could see inventory discounts on the Model Y, possibly $1,000 to $2,000 off, or even deals on demo vehicles. Looking ahead to Q3 and Q4 of 2025, I expect Tesla to introduce more aggressive promotions, especially as the year-end approaches. If you're holding out for something like 0% financing, a seven-seater Model Y, or a deal on the Model Y Performance, you might see better offers later in the year. However, the Performance variant, being a hot commodity, might not see discounts right away.

Beyond the Model Y financing, Tesla is offering other great deals right now:
Did you know that your new Tesla comes with zero accessories? Not even a phone mount! Don’t worry, though—I’ve got you covered with some must-have recommendations from our partner, Jowua. These are accessories I personally use and trust:
Jowua doesn’t stop at the basics. They also offer a wireless game controller that fits neatly in the glove box, a portable air compressor for peace of mind on road trips, and even an electric scooter for those short trips from Superchargers or Level 2 chargers.

The end of the 1.99% financing offer on the Tesla Model Y AWD is a bummer, but it’s also a call to action if you’ve been on the fence. With just three weeks left, now might be the perfect time to lock in this rate and take advantage of other ongoing promotions. Looking ahead, I’m confident Tesla will roll out more incentives in the coming quarters, so stay tuned for updates.
