Hey everyone, Dennis here from DennisCW! If you're into Tesla deal hacking like I am, you've probably noticed some big changes lately. In my latest video, I dove deep into Tesla's sneaky financing updates for the Model Y, plus a bunch of exciting reveals about the new Model Y Long (or Model Y L as I'll call it). We also chatted about turn stalk retrofits, window tint tips, and more. If you haven't watched the video yet, check it out here. Let's break it all down in this post – and don't forget to subscribe to my free email newsletter in the description for more Tesla tips!
Tesla is changing things up, and not in the best way for buyers. They've quietly bumped the financing rate for the new Model Y to 3.99% APR – up from 3.49%. Remember, it was as low as 1.99% last quarter! This feels like Tesla ripping off the band-aid without much warning, unlike their clear September 1st deadline for Model 3's 0% financing deal.
Why the change? Tesla's been hinting at limited inventory and urging folks to order now. If you're planning to buy, lock in your order ASAP – even if it's just with the $250 deposit (it's non-refundable but low-risk). This could secure better rates before they climb higher, maybe to 4.49% or 4.99% by month's end.

Shoutout to viewer Faler451 for spotting this on Tesla's site – it's labeled as a "limited time" offer. What do you think? Could Tesla be planning to hike rates further and then offer deals like discounted FSD for lower rates? Drop your thoughts in the comments!
If you're shopping around, credit unions might compete at these levels. I'll cover refinancing options (like potentially 2.49%) in tomorrow's video – stay tuned.

The Model Y L just debuted in China, and it's packed with features that could make it a game-changer. Here's the scoop:
Demand is high with 35-40K reservations already. Would you get one, or stick with the standard Model Y for potential deals? Let me know!

Hate the button-only turn signals on the refreshed Model 3? Tesla's offering a retrofit in China for ~$350, replacing buttons with a traditional stalk. Available for post-Feb 2024 models. Would you pay for it? I'm team buttons – less effort once you're used to it. Aftermarket options exist, but Tesla's might integrate best.
