Step 1: Disassembly (Pro-Level Speed)

• Sun visors first—the trickiest part with tiny clips and electronics.
• Everything comes off like Lego blocks: 4 screws, clips front and back.
• 20 minutes flat for a veteran like Jay. DIY? Not recommended—clips are brittle if yanked at an angle, and there are sensors/wires everywhere. One snag, and Tesla might claim "catastrophic failure."

Step 2: Prepping and Wrapping

• Heavy-duty upholstery glue—one-shot application, no room for errors.
• Headliner gets sprayed over for smoothness, then wrapped. Remove dome lights, coat hooks first.
• Edges heated and tensioned for flawless corners (even on the wonky horseshoe design).

Bonus: Suede adds sound deadening (ride noticeably quieter) and is stain-resistant—spray cleaner and wipe. Perfect for spills or kids.

Avoid This: Painting the Headliner

Jay showed a paint option, but don't. It flakes over time, especially near mirrors. Wrapping is superior and requires the same disassembly anyway.

Installation and the Big Reveal

All pieces wrapped: headliner, side trims (even painted seat belt areas for contrast), visors. Back in the Model Y, and...
