Tesla Makes Model Y Leases a Bit Pricier
Tesla isn't bluffing about dialing back incentives as the $7,500 federal tax credit winds down. They've bumped up the monthly lease payments for the Model Y, making it a tad less appealing for those eyeing a lease deal.
- Rear-Wheel Drive Model Y: Now $399/month (up from $349) with $3,000 down on a 36-month lease.
- All-Wheel Drive Model Y: Now $449/month (up from $399).
These leases are still a smart loophole if you don't qualify for the full tax credit, as all Tesla leases include the $7,500 credit. But with the deadline approaching, it's a reminder to act fast. If you're planning to buy or lease a Tesla, I recommend placing an order now to secure delivery before the credit expires. It's just a $250 non-refundable deposit, and don't forget to use a referral code (like mine in the description) for three months of free FSD!

Front Bumper Camera Confirmed for the New Model 3
Exciting news for Model 3 fans! Tesla's latest Model 3 Plus (spotted via China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology) includes a front bumper camera and a bigger battery for extended range. This could be the refresh the Model 3 needs to boost sales, especially since it's the only Tesla without this feature currently.
Will existing Model 3 Highland owners get a retrofit? And at what cost? It's unclear, but this update aligns with Tesla's push for better autonomy. If you've been waiting for more range and features, this might be your cue to upgrade.
Cybertruck Gets Tough with New Body Armor and Rock Sliders
Off-road enthusiasts, rejoice! Tesla has launched the Terrestrial Armor Package for the Cybertruck, including underbody shields and structural rockers for $3,500. It's currently available only to Foundation Series owners, with non-Foundation access in September 2025.
