Hey everyone, Dennis here from DennisCW! If you're as excited as I am about the Tesla Model Y Performance, you're in for a treat. In my latest video, I dove deep into the fresh delivery dates rolling out, shared some insider tips on bumping up your spot in line, and covered a bunch of hot topics from EV sales trends to Cybertruck updates. Let's break it all down in this blog post – think of it as your cheat sheet to navigating the Tesla world right now.
The wait is finally over! Tesla has started assigning delivery dates for the Model Y Performance, and from what I'm seeing in the community, they're landing anywhere from late November to December. Some folks are getting estimates as early as November 25th, while others (like mine) are slotted for December 11th to 31st. It's a bit all over the place, but one thing's clear: production is ramping up, and deliveries should hit stores by late November or early December.
If you're checking your Tesla app, you'll see a delivery timeframe and steps to complete. Pro tip: Fill out as much as you can right away – things like your driver's license, registration, and tax credit form. Tesla prioritizes buyers who are "ready to go," so this could shave weeks off your wait. I did mine before the stream, but I held off on the trade-in and credit app (more on that below).
Remember, these dates are fluid. I've bought over 10 Teslas, and they change constantly. Don't get your hopes up for the exact start date – it's all about setting realistic expectations.
Tesla's teasing lease price increases of about $80 starting November 4th, but as of my video, they hadn't kicked in yet. Keep an eye on the site – it might update overnight or tomorrow. On the financing side, the base APR is sticking at 5.14% for the Model Y Performance. If you've applied, drop a comment with your rate; I'm curious if anyone's snagged lower.
Quick advice: Credit apps are only valid for 30 days, so wait until you're closer to delivery (maybe around Thanksgiving) or until you get a VIN. A VIN means you're 1-3 weeks out, and Tesla will push hard to deliver by year-end.
If you're trading in, skip Tesla unless your state offers sales tax perks. Check out GimmeTheVin.com – viewers have scored $3,000 more than Tesla's offer. Link in the description!
Once your Model Y Performance arrives, the fun begins with customizations. We're talking tints, PPF, ceramic coating, and all-weather mats. I was at the SEMA show checking out 3W's booth (our Model Y was on display!), and their new stuff looks killer. Use code Dennis35 for 35% off their mats – lifetime warranty and perfect fit for Tesla models.
Wheels? The stock ones scream "Performance," but Unplugged Performance just dropped the BPRW wheels that look insane. They have a wheel trade-in program too. And don't forget their Black Friday sale – up to 50% off select items. Grab deals via my link below.
Other must-haves: Phone mounts, console organizers, and under-screen storage from Joah. Use my promo code for discounts and free shipping over $120.

EV sales took a hit in October after the $7,500 tax credit ended. Ford's down 25%, Hyundai's Ionic sales plummeted 80%, and leasing dropped too. Tesla might roll out big incentives soon – maybe as early as tomorrow. If you're after the tax credit still, DM me for limited options.
Starlink's offering 50% off for 24 months to deactivated subscribers – a $1,140 savings! New users, use my referral for a free month.
Cybertruck owners, rejoice: FSD v14.1.5 is out (early access), nailing unprotected turns and zero-intervention drives in Vegas. Massive upgrade from v13.
Rivian's R2 is coming in 2026 at ~$45K with dual-motor AWD. It'll compete head-on with the Model Y – exciting times for EV competition!
