The internet is buzzing with the latest sighting of the Tesla Model Y Performance, and this is arguably our best look yet! Spotted in the Alps, this uncamouflaged prototype reveals a host of upgrades that have Tesla enthusiasts like me incredibly hyped.

• Striking Color: At first glance, the vehicle appears to sport a burnt orange hue, reminiscent of a BMW M2 color or even my own Model Y’s Flexi Shield wrap in Satin Crimson. However, upon closer inspection (and considering the way Sentry Mode distorts colors), it’s likely Tesla’s Ultra Red. What do you think? Let me know in the comments!
• Sporty Design Upgrades: The Model Y Performance features a massive carbon fiber spoiler, a sportier rear bumper with a more aggressive diffuser, and new 21-inch wheels that scream performance.
• Performance Badge: A distinct badge hints at this being a high-performance variant, with some speculation about a potential “Ludicrous Y” mode.

While we couldn’t get a clear view of the front due to the video quality, there are hints of possible aerodynamic ducting and a lower spoiler. The big question is: when will this beast hit the market? Rumors suggest a September or October release, but with Tesla’s knack for surprises, we might see it as early as July to kick off the next quarter with a bang.
