The Intensive Install Process
They warned me upfront: this isn't a quick DIY. The full four-door kit takes 5-6 hours. Here's why:
- One module per door (front and rear).
- Full door disassembly: remove door cards, speakers, glass, and access the latch mechanism.
- Tesla updates panels yearly, so even on the 2026 Model Y Performance, they adapt on the fly.
Behind-the-scenes: Door panel off, speaker removed, latch exposed.
