Hey everyone, Dennis here from DennisCW! If you're into Tesla deal hacking like I am, you've probably been keeping an eye on the latest incentives and deals. In my recent video, I dove deep into Tesla's earnings call and some major updates that could impact your next purchase. Today, I'm breaking it all down in this blog post. We'll cover the big warning about incentives, the latest on affordable models, Full Self-Driving (FSD) progress, and more. If you're thinking about buying a Tesla, stick around – and don't forget to use a referral code (like mine in the description) for three months of free FSD!
Tesla's CFO dropped a bombshell during the earnings call: All planned Q3 incentives for the US have already been rolled out, and as inventory tightens, some might even disappear. With the $7,500 IRA EV tax credit set to repeal by September 30th, Tesla is urging buyers to order now to guarantee delivery and lock in those savings.
Is this a scare tactic? Maybe – Tesla knows these calls get dissected by enthusiasts like us. But it aligns with the quarter's end and the tax credit deadline. If demand stays strong, they might pull back offers on models like the Model 3 or Y.
My take? I'm 50/50 on whether they'll stick to this. If you need a vehicle ASAP, are picky about colors/options, or live far from factories (like Texas or California), place your order now. If you're flexible, you might wait and see. But don't risk missing the tax credit!
Model S and X aren't great deals right now. Remember, if you're trading in, check GiveMeTheVin.com for better offers than Tesla's trade-in – they're even doing a $25,000 cash giveaway!
Tesla confirmed they're pushing the more affordable model to Q4 to focus on maximizing current production amid the tax credit cliff. They don't want to complicate sales of existing Model 3s and Ys.
Rumors suggest a slimmer Model Y under $30K starting in Austin, potentially targeting 25% of deliveries by 2027. Production might ramp up in the first half of 2025. Are you waiting for a $25K Tesla, or grabbing a Model 3/Y now with the $7,500 credit? Let me know in the comments!
Elon Musk says unsupervised FSD for personal use could hit some US cities by the end of this year (take with Elon-time salt). Tesla's seen a 25% increase in FSD take rates since version 12, and 50% of owners haven't even tried it!
If you drive over an hour a day, FSD is a game-changer. I was skeptical back in 2019, but now it's fantastic. Subscription is $99/month, but buying outright adds resale value. DM me on Instagram if you want FSD for half off on a new Tesla!
