Hey everyone, DennisCW here! As we wrap up Quarter 3, there's a lot of buzz in the Tesla community about what's coming next. In my latest video, I dove into my predictions for upcoming incentives, potential discounts, and how Tesla might handle the surge in orders. Plus, I've got details on an exciting giveaway and some tips to maximize your Tesla purchase. If you're on the fence about ordering, this post breaks it all down. Let's jump in!
With just a day or two left in September (depending on when you're reading this), time is running out to lock in the $7,500 federal tax credit for Model 3 and Model Y. Tesla has been pushing hard: order now by September 30th and take delivery later. I've even considered placing an order myself since I know I'll be grabbing another Tesla soon—maybe the upcoming Model Y Performance?
A big question from viewers: Will there be any last-minute incentives today or tomorrow? Based on Tesla's patterns, it's possible, but don't count on it. Focus on securing that tax credit while you can. And remember, use a Tesla referral code (like mine in the description below) to snag up to $1,000 off your order.
Looking ahead to Quarter 4, I see Tesla getting creative to keep the momentum going. Here's what I think could happen:
I predict Tesla might introduce a "core package" similar to the Lux package on Model S and X. This could bundle perks like Full Self-Driving (FSD), free Supercharging, or even maintenance add-ons like wheel and tire protection. It's a smart way to add value without straight price cuts.
Current rates are attractive: 3.99% for Model Y, 2.99% for Model 3, 5.39% for Model S/X, and 0% on Cybertruck with FSD. These are labeled as "limited time," but I bet they'll extend into October. Tesla won't want a wave of cancellations, especially with the Fed rates in play. If anything, they might sweeten deals in November or December to push deliveries, like dropping Model Y to 2.99% for early takers.
Leasing is a wild card. Many EVs are losing the $7,500 tax credit, and you must take delivery by tomorrow to qualify. Expect lease payments to rise— we've already seen hikes on Model 3 and Y. Inventory and demo discounts should stick around, though.
Q4 could bring exciting launches: Model Y Performance, Model Y Long Range (or "L"), the affordable Model Y, and maybe the 6-seater. Leaks are pointing more toward the affordable variant, so stay tuned. We'll also get Q3 delivery numbers this Thursday and possibly FSD version 14 soon—big week for Tesla stockholders!
Tesla's been flooding in deposits since pushing the September 30th deadline. To avoid a backlog, they might incentivize quick deliveries with bonuses. If you're holding off, watch for October pushes to clear the queue.
