Hey everyone, Dennis here from DennisCW. If you're a fan of Tesla deal hacking, you've come to the right place. In my latest video, I dove into some urgent updates from Tesla, including a two-week warning on the federal tax credit, upcoming payment increases, and a bunch of other exciting Tesla news. Let's break it all down in this blog post so you can stay ahead of the curve and potentially save some serious cash.
Tesla is sending out emails reminding customers that the $7,500 federal tax credit is set to expire on September 30th. If you're eligible, taking delivery by then is your best bet to apply it at the point of sale. There's no update on IRS binding contract extensions, so act fast!
Browse Tesla's inventory for vehicles available for immediate delivery. If you're planning to order, don't forget to use a referral code (like mine in the description below) for perks like three months of Full Self-Driving or $250 off. Using my code supports the channel too—thanks in advance!
Starting September 21st (that's just days away), lease payments for select models are increasing:
These leases leverage the $7,500 tax credit as a loophole, even if you don't qualify personally—you can buy out the lease later. Why the odd timing? I suspect Tesla is gearing up for inventory discounts, especially in high-demand areas like California and Texas, where stock is low. They might avoid double-dipping on incentives, so keep an eye out for deals around the 21st or 22nd. Next week could be prime time for snagging a bargain before quarter-end deliveries.

Insurance rates for Teslas can be all over the map, so I've created a crowdsourced Google Sheet where you can submit your rates and see what others are paying. It's anonymous—no personal info required. Check it out to compare companies, states, and models. Link in the description below. Let's help each other save money!
The refreshed Model 3 earned an "Acceptable" rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). It's solid overall, but rear dummy measurements showed elevated chest injury risk in crashes. Still one of the safest out there, but something to note if you have backseat passengers often.
Which are you more excited about: the Model Y Long Range coming to the US or a new Model Y Performance? Both could hit our shores soon. Vote in the poll and share your hype!
Shoutout to The Kilowatts for spotting a Model Y prototype with camouflaged wheels—possibly testing efficiency for RoboTaxi or an affordable variant. Wheels look brand new; could this be a game-changer? Speculate with me in the comments.
Looking beyond Tesla? Check this lease on the Cadillac Lyriq: $499/month for 24 months with just drive-off fees (around $1,500–$2,000). It's luxurious and spacious—would you pick it over a Model Y? If you're in SoCal, hit up Richard at Rio Motors (mention "Dennis Deal") for details. Link below.
Tesla China reposted a fan-made video of the next-gen Roadster—0-60 in under 2 seconds, yoke steering, bucket seats, and more. Is it AI-generated? Probably, but it's got us pumped for a potential demo later this year.
