Hey everyone, DennisCW here! I’m super excited to share some fresh news for all you Tesla owners and soon-to-be owners out there. Tesla has recently added a window tint service as part of the pre-delivery tasks when purchasing your vehicle. If you’ve been curious about getting your Tesla tinted, this update might just catch your attention. Let’s dive into the details, my thoughts on the service, and some trusted recommendations for getting the job done right.
If you’ve been through the Tesla pre-delivery process recently (especially for something as cool as the Cybertruck), you might have noticed a new option pop up. There’s now a button asking, "Would you like to add window tint to your vehicle?" Clicking on it takes you to a page managed by XPEL, a well-known company in the window tint and paint protection film (PPF) industry, as Tesla’s partner for this service.
While it’s awesome that Tesla is offering this convenience, I have some mixed feelings about the process. The pricing on the XPEL partner page is transparent, which is great—you can select your Tesla model and see the costs upfront. However, once you input your information, it feels a bit like a "black box." Your details are sent out to a bunch of XPEL-authorized installers, and you’re left hoping for a reliable one to pick up your request. Personally, I’m not sure I’d trust a random installer chosen this way. I prefer knowing exactly who’s working on my car.
If you’re like me and want a more personal and trustworthy experience, I’ve got two solid recommendations for Tesla owners in the Los Angeles area.
You might already know Unplugged Performance for their incredible work on Tesla wraps, PPF, and tinting. They’ve worked on my Cybertruck, and I can vouch for their quality. What’s even better? They’re an XPEL-authorized Tesla dealer, so you can skip the random installer lottery and go straight to a trusted name. If you’re in LA, I highly recommend reaching out to them. Plus, if you mention my name, Dennis, they might hook you up with a sweet deal (wink wink). I’ll drop their link below for easy access.
Another fantastic option in the LA area is OC Tint Solutions. Jason, the owner, has tinted five or six of my Teslas, and I’m heading back to him soon for another one. Why do I keep going back? His customer service is unmatched. Here’s a cool perk: Jason offers "police protection" with his service. If you get pulled over and ticketed for your tint, he’ll reinstall it for free. How many shops offer that kind of guarantee? Not many! Plus, his Yelp reviews speak for themselves—five stars from over 933 reviews. If you’re skeptical, check them out for yourself. I can’t recommend OC Tint Solutions enough.
While we’re on the topic of enhancing your Tesla experience, let’s talk about accessories. Did you know that when you buy a Tesla, it comes with zero accessories? Not even a phone mount! Don’t worry, though—I’ve got you covered with some must-haves that every Tesla owner should consider.
I’ve partnered with Jowua, a fantastic company offering high-quality Tesla accessories. Here are a few of my favorites:
I use all of Jowua’s products myself, so you know they’re legit. But that’s not all—they also offer cool extras like a wireless game controller (fits right in the glove box), a portable air compressor for road trip peace of mind, and even an electric scooter (because why walk from a Supercharger?).
The best part? Use my promo code below to save some cash and support the channel. Plus, orders over $120 get free shipping. Check out the link below to grab these accessories and elevate your Tesla game. A huge thanks to Jowua for partnering with me on this!
So, what’s your take on Tesla’s new window tint service through XPEL? Are you buying a Tesla soon, or have you already taken delivery? Would you trust the XPEL installer process, or would you rather go with a trusted shop like Unplugged Performance or OC Tint Solutions? Drop your thoughts in the comments—I’d love to hear from you!
