Hey everyone, DennisCW here! I'm thrilled to share an incredible deal on the Tesla Model Y that I recently came across, thanks to a tip from one of our awesome viewers, Calvin. This is a true zero down lease for the most affordable Tesla Model Y Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD), and I’m breaking down the real payments and structure of this deal for you. Let’s dive in and see how you can potentially snag a brand-new Tesla with no upfront cost!
First off, a huge shout out to Calvin for sending over this deal breakdown. I love it when you guys share these real-world examples so we can dissect the numbers and figure out exactly what you’ll be paying for a Tesla. If you’ve got a deal or delivery update to share, hit me up—I’d love to feature it!
The Tesla Model Y Rear-Wheel Drive is arguably the most in-demand variant right now. It’s the cheapest and most affordable Tesla you can order, but there’s a catch: you can’t take delivery just yet. According to Tesla’s ordering page, the wait time is still 3 to 5 weeks, even if you customize it with a color like red. This has been the case for a while now, and I’m starting to wonder if Tesla is pushing buyers toward the All-Wheel Drive (AWD) models to boost end-of-quarter sales. Inventory for AWD models is climbing, while RWD remains elusive. Could we see a promotion soon to convert RWD orders to AWD? Only time will tell.
If you’ve got a Model Y RWD on order with a confirmed VIN or delivery date, please DM me! I’d love to hype it up and show the community that this vehicle is real and coming soon.
Now, let’s get to the juicy part: the deal itself. I’ve never seen a true zero down lease directly from Tesla financing or their backend. Typically, Tesla requires some skin in the game—anywhere from $1,000 to $3,000 for taxes and fees. Even on Tesla’s payment calculator, setting the down payment to zero still shows an amount due at signing (like $2,739 in one example). So, when Calvin shared this breakdown with a 14-cent down payment (yes, just 14 cents—might as well call it zero), I was blown away.
Here are the key details of the lease:
A few things stand out here. First, the 9% interest rate isn’t the best—it could get lower in the coming quarters as Model Y inventory normalizes. Second, there’s a $500 Tesla referral credit applied, likely because Calvin is a returning Tesla owner. If you’re ordering a Tesla, don’t forget to use a referral code (like the one in the description of my videos) to get perks like 3 months of Full Self-Driving!
So, how did Calvin manage to get a zero down lease when Tesla usually requires upfront costs? It comes down to the incentive stack. Hidden in the breakdown are two key incentives:
Tesla is leveraging part of that $3,500 state incentive to create a true zero down structure. If you live in a state with similar EV incentives, you might be able to score a comparable deal. Check your local programs and see what’s available!
Personally, if I were to buy another Tesla, I’d seriously consider the Model Y RWD. I don’t need AWD or the extra speed. With a 0-60 mph time of 5.4 seconds, it’s plenty fast—comparable to a BMW 3 Series Turbo from back in the day, which I thought was great. Plus, with Tesla’s instant electric torque, the drivability is fantastic. For most people, this base model is more than enough.
Speaking of new Teslas, did you know they come with zero accessories? Not even a phone mount! Don’t worry, though—I’ve got you covered. Here are a few must-have accessories every Tesla owner should consider:
I’ve partnered with Jowua, a fantastic brand that offers these accessories and more. I personally use their products and love them. They’ve also got cool extras like a wireless game controller, a portable air compressor for road trips, and even an electric scooter (because why walk from the Supercharger?). Use my promo code (linked in the video description) to save money and support the channel. Plus, get free shipping on orders over $120! Check out the link below my videos for more details.
This zero down Tesla Model Y deal is pretty exciting, but it’s clear that delivery delays for the RWD model could push things into the next quarter. I’m curious to hear from you—have you ordered a Model Y RWD? Have you got a VIN or delivery date? And what do you think of this lease deal? Let me know in the comments or shoot me a DM!
Thanks again to Calvin for sharing this breakdown and to Jowua for partnering with us. Stay tuned for more Tesla deals, tips, and updates. Until next time, this is DennisCW signing off!
