Hey everyone, DennisCW here! If you've been following my channel, you know I'm all about pushing the limits with my Cybertruck builds. In my latest video, I dove into an epic transformation that's got my truck looking absolutely menacing. We're talking a brand-new color from Flexi Shield called Shockwave, wrapped to perfection by the pros at Unplug Performance, plus some killer new wheels and tires. Let's break it down step by step – if you're into Tesla mods, Cybertruck customizations, or just love that futuristic vibe, this one's for you!
I've always been on the hunt for that perfect color to make my Cybertruck stand out, and Flexi Shield's newest offering, Shockwave, is it. This isn't your average wrap – it's a colored Paint Protection Film (PPF) that shifts between a deep dark blue and subtle light green tones, depending on the light. It reminds me a lot of Porsche's Montego Blue, which can look green or blue at different angles. Super dynamic and eye-catching!
What sets this install apart is the team at Unplug Performance. Unlike your typical wrap shop, they go the extra mile by disassembling all the panels and pieces for a flawless application. Think of it like applying a screen protector to your phone – you want zero dust or dirt underneath. Their shop is spotless, and they even do a full detail before wrapping. The result? A super clean, professional finish that wraps around edges beautifully.
One of the best parts about PPF? It's self-healing. Any surface scratches melt away with a bit of heat, keeping your ride looking pristine. Sure, it's a tad more expensive than standard vinyl, but for a Cybertruck, I highly recommend going the colored PPF route. It just elevates the whole look. Day two of the wrap, and it's already turning heads – what do you think? Drop your thoughts in the comments!
But we didn't stop at the wrap. You know we traded in those stock OEM wheels for something bigger and bolder. Enter Unplug Performance's new 24-inch Cyberspoke wheels in a classic bronze finish. If you remember my SEMA build with the blue truck, bronze was a game-changer, and it pairs perfectly with this Shockwave color. The bronze even matches the UP logos on the side – talk about a cohesive vibe!
Paired with these wheels are some beefy Nitto Ridgeline tires in a massive 315/45x24 size. This is the biggest setup we've rocked yet, giving the Cybertruck that aggressive, lifted stance. The fitment is insane, and it looks downright menacing. We had the truck in lift mode during the install, but once it's rolling, it's a whole new beast.
Of course, I had to test it out on the road. With the new 24-inch wheels and tires, I was curious if it'd sacrifice any comfort – especially over bumps. Spoiler: It doesn't! The ride feels just as smooth as before, with no noticeable difference in comfort. It's handling like a dream, and I can't wait to show it off at events like XT Takeover. If you're eyeing a similar setup, this combo is a winner.
This build is one of my favorites yet – the Shockwave PPF from Flexi Shield wrapped by Unplug Performance, combined with those bronze Cyberspoke wheels and Nitto tires, makes for a sick, head-turning Cybertruck. It's got that perfect blend of style, protection, and performance. Shoutout to the Unplug team for their top-tier work!
What are your thoughts on the color? Love the blue-green shift? And how about that wheel and tire combo – too aggressive, or just right?
