Electrify Expo Preview: Showcasing Our Tesla Model Y and Exploring the Latest in EV Innovation

I’m beyond excited to share with you a behind-the-scenes look at our preparations for the Electrify Expo in San Pedro, CA, along with a sneak peek at what you can expect from this incredible event. This year, my Tesla Model Y is taking center stage, and I can’t wait for you all to see it in person over the weekend. Let’s dive into the journey of getting the car ready and explore some of the amazing electric vehicles (EVs) and innovations at the expo!

Getting the Tesla Model Y Show-Ready

Before heading to the Electrify Expo, we had to make sure the Model Y was looking its absolute best. Big shoutout to the amazing team at Unplugged Performance for giving the car a quick detail and wash. Honestly, this might be one of the rare times this car gets such a thorough cleanup, so we’re making the most of it! While we were there, I couldn’t help but admire another stunning black Model Y on display, rocking the UP05 wheels in a shiny black finish with a sleek lip on the front, paired with tinted windows. It’s an absolute head-turner.

With our Model Y polished and ready to impress, we hit the road from Unplugged Performance to San Pedro. Unlike previous years when the expo was held in Long Beach, this time it’s in San Pedro—still super close and just as exciting. Our Model Y, equipped with a leveling lift kit, is set to be on display for both Saturday and Sunday, parked right next to the jaw-dropping UP Invincible Cybertruck. Talk about a dynamic duo!

A Sneak Peek at Electrify Expo

While dropping off the car, I had the chance to walk around and check out the setups for this weekend’s event. Let me tell you, there’s a ton to see and experience at Electrify Expo! Here’s a quick rundown of some highlights that caught my eye:

• Rove and SoCal EVs: Bringing some awesome modded EVs to the show.
• F the Pumps Cybertruck: Another Cybertruck making waves with its bold design.
• Alpine, Ion Handook, and Halo Black: Showcasing their latest setups and innovations.
• Lightship RV: A super cool electric RV concept that’s worth checking out.
• Lucid Gravity: A rare sighting in the flesh! I’m hoping to find out if they’re offering test drives because this SUV is stunning.
• Escalade IQ: Cadillac’s electric beast on display.
• Ford Test Drive Area: A massive space for test drives, including what looks like motocross-style setups.
• Verge Motorcycles and Anker: Anker caught my attention with their home battery solutions—definitely planning to chat with them.
• Rivian, Karma, and Lucid: Still setting up, but already looking promising.
• Tesla Showcase: Featuring the refreshed Model S in a sleek stealth gray with new wheels, alongside a refreshed Model X. I’m hoping to do a quick walkaround if time permits.
• Kia, Ford, GM, Lexus, and Toyota: All bringing their A-game with off-road setups and more.

There’s also a mysterious electric flying mobile (or something like that) and plenty of other modded electric vehicles scattered throughout the venue. Whether you’re into cars, motorcycles, or cutting-edge tech, there’s something for everyone at this event.

If you’re in the San Pedro area this weekend, I highly recommend swinging by Electrify Expo. Not only will you get to see my Tesla Model Y up close, but you’ll also have the chance to explore the latest in electric vehicle technology, take test drives, and connect with other EV enthusiasts.
