HW3 FSD v14 release is finally heading to Model S and Model X owners with hardware 3. Ryan McAffrey confirmed the FSD 14 light HW3 rollout after speaking with Tesla at a recent event, noting it was expected last week but may have faced a short delay.
This Model S FSD update brings the latest FSD capabilities to older hardware 3 vehicles that many owners have been waiting on. Tesla Model X FSD 14 follows the same path, giving long-time owners access to improved autonomy features without needing a hardware upgrade.
For HW3 owners, this means better performance in real-world driving scenarios once the update lands. It keeps the promise of ongoing FSD improvements alive for vehicles purchased years ago.
I covered the details in my latest video here: https://youtube.com/watch?v=FqeQI6SpiTc. If you want more on the FSD v14 lite HW3 update rollout, check this post: https://denniscw.com/blog/fsd-v14-lite-hw3-update.
Tesla owners with these models should see the update push through soon based on the latest info. It is a welcome step for anyone still running hardware 3.
While you wait, good accessories make daily drives smoother. The Jowua phone mount is one I use constantly during FSD sessions: Jowua Tesla accessories — phone mounts, center consoles, and more.
Bottom line, the HW3 FSD v14 release keeps Tesla's software-first approach strong for legacy Model S and Model X owners.
