Hey everyone, welcome back to another update from yours truly, DennisCW! Today, I’m diving into some exciting news about Tesla’s latest financing offer for the Model Y, along with other hot topics in the Tesla sphere. If you’re a fan of deal hacking and staying ahead of the curve with Tesla updates, you’re in the right place. Let’s get into it!
Tesla has just updated the details on their 1.99% APR financing offer for the Model Y Long Range All-Wheel Drive, and there’s a crucial change you need to know about. Previously, the website simply stated that the offer “ends on June 16th,” which could imply that delivery needed to happen by that date. However, Tesla has now clarified the verbiage to “must order by June 16th.” This subtle shift is a game-changer!
By specifying “order by June 16th,” Tesla is giving buyers a bit more flexibility. You can lock in the 1.99% rate by placing your order before the deadline, even if delivery happens later. This provides some leeway to wait and see if additional end-of-quarter deals—like inventory discounts—pop up before finalizing your purchase. However, keep in mind that Tesla will likely push for delivery within a week or two, ideally by the end of June.
If you’re considering taking advantage of this offer, don’t forget to use a Tesla referral code (like mine in the description below) to snag three months of Full Self-Driving (FSD) capability for your Model Y, Model 3, S, X, or even Cybertruck. A huge thanks to everyone who has used my referral code in the past and to those who will in the future!
Here’s my take: I believe Tesla is playing a balancing act. There’s a large group of buyers eager to finance at 1.99%, and another group looking for outright discounts without financing. I wouldn’t be surprised to see inventory discounts on the Model Y or other trims after June 16th. There’s also a possibility of updates to other variants like the Model Y Performance or the seven-seater configuration around that time. Could we see financing offers extended to other models or trims? It’s speculative, but definitely something to watch.
For comparison, the Model Y Rear-Wheel Drive currently sits at a less attractive 5.54% APR (recently dropped from 5.59%), making the 1.99% offer on the AWD a standout deal. If you’re on the fence, my advice is simple: if you need a vehicle now, 1.99% is a fantastic rate to lock in. If you’re willing to wait for potentially better deals (like 0% financing), it could be a few months—or even until the end of the year—before something sweeter comes along.
TL;DR: To secure the 1.99% financing on the Model Y AWD, you must order by June 16th. Don’t miss out, and use a referral code for added perks!
In other news, recent drone footage of the Tesla Gigafactory shows a surprising lack of production activity. Could this mean Tesla is retooling factory lines for new vehicles or updates? With rumors swirling about upcoming models and refreshes, this downtime raises questions. Are we on the verge of seeing a new vehicle rollout or significant changes to existing models? Drop your thoughts in the comments—I’m curious to hear what you think!
Exciting developments are also happening in the robo-taxi space. A Tesla Model 3 test mule, decked out with front and side cameras and Cyber Cab-like rims, was recently spotted. The vehicle, sporting a blacked-out rear and Texas manufacturer plates, is clearly a validation test car for Tesla’s robo-taxi ambitions. There’s even talk of a stripped-down, more affordable Model 3 variant with cloth seats and added cameras but no rear screen. Plus, Tesla has filed a trademark application for “RoboTaxi,” signaling they’re serious about branding this futuristic service.
With “RoboTaxi Month” in Austin, I expect we’ll soon see videos of people riding in these autonomous vehicles. I can’t wait to hear first impressions once they hit the streets for public testing. What are your predictions for Tesla’s robo-taxi rollout? Let me know!
On a personal note, I recently had my Tesla washed and detailed by my go-to guy, Andre at 24K Shine. If you’re in the OC area and looking for ceramic coating, tints, or a top-notch detail wash, Andre’s your man. He offers mobile services, making it super convenient, and provides ongoing care for your car—not just a one-and-done deal like some shops. Hit him up on Instagram (@24Kshine) or his website (24kshine.com) and ask for the “Dennis Deal” for a special hook-up. I’ve been a long-time customer, and he’s worked on several of my Teslas. Highly recommend!
If you’re planning to finance a Tesla, protecting your credit is a must. Did you know Bank of America recently had a data breach and didn’t notify customers for a month? On average, companies take 277 days to report breaches, leaving your identity exposed. That’s why I use Aura, today’s sponsor. Aura scans the dark web for my personal info, reduces spam calls, removes my data from sketchy broker sites, and offers $5 million in identity theft insurance—all in one easy app. Try it free for 14 days at aura.com/denniscw (link in the description). Don’t wait until it’s too late—protect your data now!
Just bought or planning to buy a Tesla? Did you know they come with zero accessories—not even a phone mount? Don’t worry, I’ve got you covered with some must-haves from my partner, Jowua. I personally use their phone mount (no flying phones during acceleration!), center console organizer (keeps things tidy), and under-screen storage mount for sunglasses. They also offer cool extras like a wireless game controller, portable air compressor, and even an electric scooter for those long walks from chargers. I also stumbled upon some interesting inventory updates during the stream, including long-range rear-wheel drive Model Ys appearing and even demo discounted vehicles in some areas. If you’ve spotted deals in your zip code, let me know!
That’s all for today’s update. Tesla’s 1.99% financing offer is a fantastic opportunity if you act by June 16th, and there’s plenty more on the horizon with robo-taxis and potential factory updates.
