Tesla FSD v15 update is dropping very soon according to recent comments from Ashok Elluswamy during the Q3 earnings call. The update promises Tesla's shift to its own maps instead of relying on third-party data for speed limits, parking, and routing.
Context on the Tesla FSD v15 Update
Scott posted that FSD 15 release date falls in November with map improvements already in testing. This builds directly on version 14, which already delivers solid performance. If you haven't tried the current build, check out the details in my post on the Tesla FSD 14.3.13 update.
The earnings call highlighted a key shareholder question about third-party map problems. Elon agreed Tesla shouldn't depend on outsiders and confirmed the company is building tesla own maps fsd. These maps will handle trip start-to-end navigation, parking, and destinations in the coming months.
What This Means for Tesla Owners
Once live, the tesla fsd v15 update should recognize your driving habits better than you do in some situations. Expect smoother routing and fewer map-related errors. fsd v15 features will roll out gradually, starting with basic navigation before expanding to full parking and destination handling.
I'm genuinely excited for this because it removes a long-standing limitation. Version 14 is already impressive, but owning the maps gives Tesla total control over the experience.
Bottom Line
The tesla fsd v15 update looks like the biggest leap since supervised FSD began. Whether it lands by year-end or early next year, the direction is clear. If you're not on version 14 yet, grab the tesla fsd referral deal for three months free FSD plus low APR financing and test it yourself.
