Hey everyone, DennisCW here! I’m super excited to dive into the latest buzz surrounding Tesla’s newest vehicle sighting. A mysterious car has been spotted, and the internet is abuzz with speculation. Is it the much-anticipated compact and affordable Tesla Model Q, or just a souped-up Model Y Performance? Let’s break down the evidence, share my thoughts, and hear what you think!
Yesterday, videos surfaced online showing a Tesla vehicle under heavy camouflage. At first glance, I thought it was the Model Y Performance. However, some sharp-eyed fans and analysts have a different theory. Using ChatGPT and AI tools to analyze photo evidence and drone footage from creators like Met the God and Wildness, they’ve measured the vehicle and claim it’s about 20 cm shorter than the standard Model Y. This has led to speculation that this could be the rumored compact Model Q—an affordable Tesla expected to cost around $35,000 in the US (with incentives) and as low as $25,000 in China.
Big Future even posted, “Finally, the Model Q is revealed!” But I’m not so sure. The heavy coverings on the front and rear of the vehicle make it incredibly hard to judge its true size. Could this just be an optical illusion? I’m leaning toward it being a Model Y Performance in testing. After all, would Tesla really be speeding off 0 to 60 in a compact, budget-friendly model during a test run? It seems more likely they’d push the limits with a performance variant. Plus, without knowing the video’s playback speed, it’s tough to draw conclusions.
There’s also some intriguing drone footage circulating, with overlays comparing this mystery vehicle to the Model Y Juniper. From certain angles, it does appear smaller, which fuels the compact Model Q theory. If Tesla markets this as a “compact” vehicle but keeps it close in size to the Model Y, it could be a fantastic value proposition for buyers. Imagine a slightly smaller Tesla with a lower price tag—now that’s exciting!
However, I’m still skeptical. In Tesla’s recent earnings call, they hinted at more affordable models launching by mid-year. We’re pretty much at that point now, so the timing fits. But is this sighting the real deal, or just a performance variant in disguise? I’d love to hear your thoughts! Do you think this is the compact, affordable Tesla we’ve been waiting for, or a Model Y Performance? And more importantly, which are you more excited about—a budget-friendly $25,000-$35,000 Tesla or a high-performance beast?

While we wait for more clarity on this mystery vehicle, let’s talk about something equally exciting for Tesla owners (or soon-to-be owners)—accessories! Congrats if you’ve recently bought a Tesla or are about to. Now, it’s time to deck it out with the best gear. There are tons of accessories out there (maybe even too many), so I’ve narrowed it down to my top three must-haves: phone mounts, all-weather floor mats, and center consoles.
If I had to pick just one accessory, it’d be a solid set of all-weather floor mats. They’re essential for protecting your Tesla’s interior from dirt, spills, and wear. I’ve bucketed my recommendations into three tiers:

So, where do we stand? Is this mysterious Tesla the compact, affordable Model Q we’ve been hearing about, or just a Model Y Performance in testing? The evidence is compelling on both sides, but I’m leaning toward the latter. Still, a budget-friendly Tesla at $25,000-$35,000 would be a game-changer, and it seems like the community is more hyped for that than another performance model.
What do you think? Let me know in the comments, and tell me which Tesla you’re most excited for. Also, if you’ve got accessory tips or questions, I’m all ears. Thanks for reading, and I’ll catch you in the next post!
