It's only been a month into 2026, and the Tesla Model Y has already snagged a major accolade: Consumer Reports' Best Electric Vehicle of 2026. Yeah, it's a bit funny awarding the top spot so early when plenty of new EVs are still rolling out this year. But let's be real – the Model Y has earned it.
Consumer Reports had this to say:
"Continuing its reign as the best electric selling vehicle, the Model Y combines a practical yet sleek hatchback, long-range driving, sports car level performance, and access to the widespread Tesla supercharging network refresh refresh for 2026."
The 2026 Model Y refresh brings a slew of updates that elevate an already stellar vehicle. We're talking improved build quality, refined features, and that signature Tesla performance. It's no wonder it's one of the best-selling vehicles globally – and now, it's even better. I've seen tons of owners eyeing upgrades from their older Model Ys to this latest version.
What do you think? If you've recently picked up a new Model Y:

Tesla's Full Self-Driving (FSD) is finally hitting the masses, and the buzz is real. I came across a quick clip (audio was glitchy, but the message was clear) where a guy admits, "I hate to praise Tesla, but if you want your own driver, it's worth it once you get used to FSD."
Today, I even met someone who's all-in on FSD. They drive a beat-up Model 3 just for the FSD capability – ditching flashier cars because nothing beats the relaxation of letting Tesla handle destination-to-destination drives without a second thought. It's a total mindset shift.
What's your take on FSD? Ready to take the plunge?
Want to make your Model Y even better? Check out accessories from Joah – my go-tos include their center console mounts and the phone mount I use in all our Teslas. Super sturdy and sleek.
