Tesla Model Y Deals Ending Soon: Act Fast Before June 16th!

Hey everyone, DennisCW here! Welcome back to another exciting update on all things Tesla. In today’s post, I’m diving into some urgent news about the Tesla Model Y deals that are set to expire very soon, along with other hot topics like new Tesla features, accessories, and community insights. Let’s get right into it!

Last Chance for Affordable Tesla Model Y Deals

If you’ve been eyeing a Tesla Model Y, you need to act fast. Tesla has announced that two incredible deals on the Model Y All-Wheel Drive are ending on June 16th. Here’s what’s on the table:

  • 1.99% Financing Deal: This ultra-low financing rate is a fantastic opportunity to own a Model Y without breaking the bank.
  • Lease Deal Update: The lease option has been made even more accessible with a reduced down payment of $1,000 (previously $3,000) for a monthly payment of $499.

Both of these offers are exclusive to the Model Y All-Wheel Drive and will not be available after June 16th. I’m curious if you can stack the $2,000 loyalty discount with the lease deal (unfortunately, it doesn’t work with the financing offer). If anyone knows, drop a comment below!

What happens after June 16th? I don’t expect immediate changes on the 17th, but Tesla might roll out new incentives in Q3 (July to September). For now, time is of the essence. Don’t forget to use a Tesla referral code (like mine in the description) to snag 3 months of Full Self-Driving (FSD) with your purchase.

Quick Tip: Not sure whether to lease or finance? Consider your ownership style. If you switch cars every 2-3 years, leasing might be ideal. If you keep vehicles for 5-10 years, financing at 1.99% could save you more in the long run. Also, keep an eye on the interest rates for the lease deal—past rates were as high as 10.32%, though I suspect this one might be closer to 7-8%.

Protect Your Tesla with Tesbros Paint Protection Film

Once you’ve secured your Tesla, protecting it should be your next priority. That’s where my friends at Tesbros come in with their DIY Paint Protection Film (PPF) kits. Whether you opt for essential coverage (front area), full frontal (bumper, hood, fenders), or full vehicle coverage, these kits are a cost-effective alternative to professional installations that can run $3,000-$5,000.

I’ve got PPF on my Model X and a colored PPF on my Model Y, and I can vouch for the quality. Use my promo code DENNIS for 10% off your order. Check out the link below to save thousands while keeping your Tesla looking pristine.

New Tesla Feature: Child Left Alone Detection

Tesla continues to innovate with safety features, and the latest 2024.14.12 update introduces Child Left Alone Detection. If a child is detected in the vehicle after you’ve left, the system will:

  • Turn on the AC to keep them comfortable.
  • Send an alert to your Tesla app.
  • Flash the vehicle’s lights and sound an audible alert.

This is a fantastic addition, distinct from Dog Mode, as it’s specifically designed to ensure no child is forgotten. What do you think of this feature? Let me know in the comments!

Tesla Wireless Charging: Future Feature for Model S/X?

There’s been buzz about wireless charging potentially coming to the refreshed Model S and X. Mentioned in a shareholder deck, this feature could involve a charging pad at the base of the vehicle. While it sounds cutting-edge, I’m skeptical about the cost—current Tesla Wall Chargers are $400-$600, so a wireless system might run into the thousands. Plus, I suspect it would offer slower charging speeds. Is this something you’d invest in, or is it just a “nice-to-have”? Share your thoughts!

Must-Have Tesla Accessories from Jowua

If you’re a new Tesla owner, you’ve probably noticed that your vehicle comes with zero accessories—not even a phone mount! Don’t worry, I’ve partnered with Jowua to bring you some must-haves:

  • Phone Mount: Keep your phone secure during those quick accelerations.
  • Center Console Organizer: Avoid losing items in the abyss of your console.
  • Underscreen Station Mount: Perfect for storing sunglasses or other essentials.

Jowua also offers cool extras like a wireless game controller, portable air compressor, and even an electric scooter for those long walks from Superchargers. Use my promo code below for a discount and free shipping on orders over $120. Links are in the description!

Community Insights: Model 3 Deals and Inventory Predictions

Shoutout to my amazing community for chiming in during the livestream! Here are some highlights:

  • Vuly predicts better offers for the Model 3 before the end of the quarter, possibly including free Supercharging for 3-6 months or mileage incentives (10,000-15,000 miles). I can see this happening, especially since Model 3 inventory is low.
  • MMA is holding out for better Model Y deals. With high inventory for Model Y All-Wheel Drive, we might see lower APRs or additional perks soon.
  • JJ noted the abundance of Model Ys in Tesla lots, reinforcing the likelihood of upcoming discounts or incentives.

Tesla Window Tint Now Available—But Should You Use It?

Tesla is now offering window tinting through a partner (likely XPEL), with pricing transparency upfront (e.g., $560 for certain models). While I appreciate the clarity, I’m hesitant to recommend it since you don’t know who the installer is until after booking. If you’re in the OC area, I highly recommend OC Tint Solutions—they’ve tinted all my Teslas with 3M film for top-notch heat and UV rejection. Hit up Jason for the “Dennis Deal” and check their 5.0-star reviews (910+) at their Costa Mesa and Anaheim locations. Otherwise, search Yelp for highly-rated local tint shops to ensure quality installation.

The Truth About EV Battery Replacement Costs

There’s a lot of misinformation out there about EV battery replacements costing $10,000-$30,000. Here’s the reality: most Tesla batteries are warrantied for 8 years or 100,000-120,000 miles, and failures are rare. Compare that to traditional vehicles where powertrain warranties often end at 50,000 miles, and engine or transmission repairs can be costly.

Even if your warranty expires, companies like ReCell offer affordable solutions—think $7,000 for a standard range battery, $8,000 for long range, or $9,000 for performance, including shipping. You can even upgrade your battery type for added range. So, don’t let battery fears deter you from buying a Tesla—whether new or used, you’re covered for the long haul.

Full Self-Driving (FSD): Will Prices Go Up or Down?

A common question I get is whether Tesla’s Full Self-Driving (FSD) package will get cheaper or more expensive. Let’s look at the history:

  • 2022: $12,000 (later $15,000 in September).
  • 2023 (September): Dropped to $12,000.
  • 2024 (April): Reduced to $8,000, with a $199/month subscription option.
  • Special Deal (2023): As low as $4,500 on select inventory vehicles.

With FSD becoming more usable (I use it daily on my Model Y) and the upcoming Robotaxi debut in Austin, I predict prices will trend upward as unsupervised FSD gains traction. If you drive over an hour daily, especially on highways, FSD could be a game-changer. Interested in a deal on FSD for a pending delivery? DM me for details!
