Tesla just dropped dozens of Model Y Premium RWD inventory units in California, all tagged with the "coming soon" status ahead of the California $3500 incentive Model Y.
These vehicles start at $42,490 and represent the strongest value package Tesla currently offers. The Premium RWD Model Y deal combines the right range, features, and now the state rebate that is disappearing fast.
Why the sudden inventory surge
Tesla is reacting to massive demand for the California $3500 incentive Model Y. With only 10% of the funds remaining, the company flooded the inventory site with Premium RWD configurations to lock in deposits before the money vanishes. Model Y coming soon meaning
Many of these listings show "coming soon" instead of "in transit." This status means Tesla plans to build the car for you soon rather than having it already on the way. It gives buyers the chance to secure the exact configuration and still claim the California $3500 incentive Model Y before it sells out.
What this means for buyers
The Premium RWD Model Y deal is the one most drivers should choose. It offers the best balance of price, efficiency, and features. With the state rebate layered on top, the effective price drops even lower. Tesla Model Y inventory California moves extremely quickly right now, so waiting risks losing both the car and the incentive.
